The Junior Jazz Vision

The Junior Jazz Foundation (JJF) is the philanthropic outreach effort of The Jazz Corner and is under the umbrella of the prestigious Community Foundation of the Low Country, a quality organization with tremendous experience in managing the philanthropic work of individuals, families and businesses.

The larger mission of the Junior Jazz Foundation is to broaden and to proliferate the awareness of the original American art form of jazz within our schools. Our approach to accomplishing this is to utilize the Junior Jazz Foundation to seek donations of goods and services; to raise funds for new equipment, instruments, scholarships, classes and seminars for interested and promising young students.

The Community Foundation of the Low Country

More than 200 individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofits have established funds at the Community Foundation of the Low Country.  These funds support a wide range of efforts, both within the Low Country and beyond.

We provide personalized philanthropic services through a culture of openness and accessibility that makes easy and comfortable for all segments of our community to feel connected to their community foundation.

Our focus is local.  We closely monitor community needs, opportunities, and resources and connect them to create positive results in our community. We are a local organization staffed by people from our community and led by a local board of trustees with an in-depth knowledge of the issues that shape our community.

As a community leader, we have the ability to connect and work with others -donors, community organizations, government, other local foundations, etc. - to augment resources to effectively address community issues.

At the Community Foundation of the Low Country, our mission is strengthening community by connecting people, resources, and needs.

And we strive to fulfill this mission every day.

How Can I Support the JJF?

Depending on your situation, you may want to make a gift now, provide a gift through your estate plan, or both.

Current gifts to the Junior Jazz Foundation offer important tax benefits such as the maximum allowable charitable income tax deduction in the year the gift is made and possible elimination of capital gains taxes on gifts of appreciated property.

Types of current gifts:
Cash, Stock and/or Real Estate

You may also consider making a deferred gift.  Some types can provide an income stream for life, minimize estate taxes and provide a future gift for the fund.
