

Musical Styles: Trombonist of Exceptional Talent, as well as Arranger, Composer and Band Leader
Jon is a trombonist, musician and retired director of Navy bands. He has extensive experience as a musician, composer, arranger, band leader and entertainment coordinator. He is a graduate from the Armed Forces School of Music, as well as Hawaii Pacific University, Columbia College and Webster University, where he respectively holds Associates, Bachelors, and Masters degrees. Mr. Miller is a winner of the prestigious George S. Howard Citation of Musical Excellence award, where he is internationally recognized for achieving a high standard of musical excellence and outstanding leadership as a military band leader.
Mr. Miller has performed in theatre orchestras as a trombonist in the musicals "Once Upon A Mattress", "The Music Man", "Hello Dolly", "West Side Story", "A Chorus Line", "Showboat", "5 Guys Named Moe", "Mame", "42nd Street" and "Chicago." He has backed up such notable performers as Johnny Brown, "The Ice Man" Jerry Butler, Lynn Roberts, Steve Lippia, and The Temptations Review. Jon has also performed throughout the southeast with the Hilton Head Orchestra, Hilton Head Choral Society, Savannah Jazz Orchestra and the Crystal Beer Parlor Ramblers Dixieland Band.
